EdTech Unicorn PhysicsWallah Allocates ₹460.55 Crore from IPO for Offline Expansion

PhysicsWallah, the Indian EdTech unicorn, is channeling ₹460.55 crore from its upcoming IPO proceeds to bolster its offline and hybrid education centers across India and select international markets. The funds will be distributed across three key segments: ₹234.37 crore for Vidyapeeth centers focusing on competitive exams like JEE and NEET, ₹49.89 crore for hybrid Pathshala centers combining live-streamed classes with on-site support, and ₹176.29 crore for diversified vocational and professional training centers.

The company's offline footprint has expanded at a remarkable 165.9% CAGR, reaching 198 centers across 109 cities in India and the Middle East as of March 2025. Its IPO comprises a fresh equity issue of ₹3,100 crore and an offer for sale worth ₹720 crore, with planned expansion into tier-2 and tier-3 cities including Muzaffarpur, Dhanbad, and Rajkot.
